母音間の/d/音の脱落は、ヨーロッパのスペイン語で非常に広く見られる現象で、他のスペイン語圏では起こりえない文脈でも生じます。この現象については様々な視点から多くの研究がなされてきましたが、イベリア半島全体の状況を部分的にしか捉えていませんでした。本書は、半島の大部分をカバーする二つのコーパス、イベリア半島言語地図(ALPI)と農村口語スペイン語音声コーパス(COSER)のデータに基づき、ヨーロッパ半島スペイン語におけるこの現象の全体像を提示します。地理的分析と数量的分析を組み合わせることで、この現象の現状と変遷について新たな知見をもたらしています。

The loss of intervocalic /d/ is a very widespread phenomenon in European Spanish, where it appears in contexts in which it would be impossible in other Spanish-speaking regions. Many studies address this subject from different perspectives, but they only offer a partial view of the situation in the Iberian Peninsula.
The present work provides an overview of the phenomenon in European peninsular Spanish based on the data from two corpora that cover most of the territory, namely the Linguistic Atlas of the Iberian Peninsula (ALPI) and the Audible Corpus or Rural Spoken Spanish (COSER). The study of these data, both geographically and with quantitative analyses, offers new insights into the situation and evolution of the phenomenon.
