Our book is reduced in size (about 20%) to a standard 6” x 9” format and retains all the original typefaces and humorous capital illustrations. The cover replicates the hardbound edition, giving it a unique appearance for a paperback. It makes a perfect reading copy.

About the Hardbound version: Juan de la Cuesta came into the world’s last supply of Elisha Kent Kane’s famous translation of the Libro de buen amor about ten years ago and is now releasing a few of them for sale in the year 2001, in their original 1933 package, with the original mailing label in place. Each copy (of the original press run of 1000) is hand numbered. The binding is half-leather. Pages are trimmed smooth and gilt on the top, but are uncut along the fore-edge. When these are available used, at sources such as Bibliofind.com, they sell for a hundred dollars and up.
