El objetivo de este libro es estudiar los diferentes usos del agua en América Latina como un proceso histórico complejo e inacabado. Las perspectivas de investigación presentadas destacan la situación de la gestión del agua en Argentina, Brasil y México desde el siglo XIX a la actualidad, y demuestran la urgencia de pensar sobre el pasado para comprender el presente y prepararse para el futuro, en el que las aguas tendrán un lugar destacado en las disputas por los bienes comunes y el orden social.
The aim of this book is to study the different uses of water within Latin America as a complex and unfinished historical process. The research perspectives introduced here highlight the situation of water management in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico from the 19th century to present time and demonstrate the urgency of thinking about the past in order to understand the present and be prepared for the future, in which the water will have a leading role in the disputes over common goods and social order.
