Partición was published in Mexico in 1982, the same year that the first volume of his collected works appeared (Poesia 1943-1976, F.C.E.). As the title suggests, Partición is comprised of three parts, the first of which was published independenty in 1978; the other two ‘notebooks’ were written also as separate books but were not published before their inclusion in Partición. Though separate, the three notebooks have a clear unity of tone and, at a global level, of theme: time and the paradoxes that result from trying to understand it underlie all of the poems in the collection. – De Introduccion
